All things Resin and Polymer Clay

Do you remember when every creative artist tried resin!  Yep I was one of them, but I found it

really sticky, I don't like sticky!.

I also tried polymer clay! and created these journals which took such a long time.  Other crafters were

selling them for about $100, I could only sell them for $45 back in 2018.

Behind the Mask

Painting of a Peacock and a Lady in a Mask

This painting was inspired when I was working with Indian ink, giving a 3D feel to it.  I have always loved peacocks and their colours.  I could hear their “johaan” call as I progressed with this painting and remembered when going with my son when he was 3 to the MacDonald Farm, chatting to the male peacock there.  All the kids just loved it when I shouted “johaan” and he proceeded to answer me back and fanning his tail feathers to its fullest bloom.  Perhaps “Proud as a Peacock” should have been the name of this painting, but I could not make the girl look “proud”.

Revamping some old paintings

Painting of Wild Cats and Elephants and Wolves

I worked on these paintings about a year ago. The leopard, the painting is not named right now, but I started with working in Indian Ink, left it and then decided to give it a wash of acrylic sepia.  As I was working on the eyes and gave it some colour, I really liked the sepia over the indian ink. Perhaps this should be called "leopard snarl"?

Painting of Wolf Matters was done on 130lb paper using coloured pencil and acrylic and then glued on a panel.

The painting of the elephant's eye is done the same.
